How to prepare for Sciences final year project?

I'm starting my final year project in Sciences and I'm feeling completely overwhelmed. This is supposed to be the culmination of my entire degree, but I don't even know where to begin with planning and execution. The project requirements seem so broad and I'm worried about choosing the right topic that's both challenging and achievable within the time frame. I also need to find a supervisor and understand what resources are available to me. For those who have completed their final year projects in Sciences, what was your process from start to finish? How did you choose your topic, manage your time, and ensure you met all the requirements? Any tips on avoiding common pitfalls would be greatly appreciated! I'm currently studying at Covenant University and would appreciate any advice from fellow students or graduates who have been in similar situations.
